This is the fourth of the cat stories, and things are starting to unravel.








The Cinnamon Mother and Other Stories (Rivet Journal)








The Realitarians (Interzone). This story is not available online, but you can buy the 2019 May/June Interzone #281 that contains "The Realitarians" here, also containing stories by Georgina Bruce, Rebecca Campbell, and others. "The Realitarians" is the third in a projected series of eleven stories about feline sleuths. Things are now starting to unravel, only the cats can put things right, and one of them has already gone over to the dark side.

Bellacqua, or the Establishment (Santa Monica Review). "Bellacqua, or the Establishment" is the second in a projected series of eleven stories featuring Bellacqua, Ragwell, Finisterra, Slim, and Bowra-Yin, five cats who save the world but without being able to save any of the individual humans they exploit along the way.








You're Never Lonely With a Laughtrack (Crimespree). You can buy #65 of Crimespree (Spring 2017) here. This story is not available online.








The History of Harrabash ( Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet). "The History of Harrabash" is the first in a projected series of eleven stories featuring the fantasy republic of Harrabash. This story is not available online.

The Postmen (Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine) This story is in the June 2015 EQMM, also containing stories by Sheila Kohler, Mat Coward, and others. Specific back issues of EQMM are hard to obtain, but "The Postmen" can also be read on Great Jones Street, which is an app you can download (no signup required), bringing stories that first appeared in print to a wider audience. "The Postmen" is the first in a projected series of eleven stories featuring Bellacqua, Ragwell, Finisterra, Slim, and Bowra-Yin, angst-ridden hardboiled detectives who just happen to be cats.
